ABOUT ME

I’m a 9-to-5er working in the mysterious world of “business systems.” I can run a successful meeting, structure information in spreadsheets, map out a business process, and explain why changing one thing upstream might break three other things downstream. Outside of work, I sing, act, dance, and write songs. Generally, this means corporate people often think of me as “creative,” and creative people often think of me as a stage manager 😑.

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved color coding and making unnecessarily organized Word documents and Excel spreadsheets, but the arts have always been a big part of my life, too. I performed professionally as a child, playing Princess Ying Yaowalak in the national tour of The King & I, and later trained in vocal performance at LaGuardia High School. From there, I followed my interests into studio art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, then spent time working in fashion product development and film production. Eventually, I found my way into the corporate world—and, years later, back to the stage as an adult, playing Ella in AfterWork Theater’s Cinderella.

I’m especially interested in singing, performing in musical theater, directing and producing shows, costume design, and writing original music. On the other side of my brain, I care a lot about mentoring and sharing what I’ve learned about business leadership and systems thinking. If you’re working on something you think I might be a fit for, I’d love to hear about it.
